I love the alliterative title. (: I particularly love the seagull, the pup and porcupine, and the lambs with (you?).

Thanks Elisa.
Yes, ‘Chop Chop’ is a rescue lamb
who’d been mauled by feral dogs.
He now lives a happy life mowing
the lawn, and getting fat.

That’s great photography David. The only problem I have is that I’m colourblind (true). They work monochrome wise though, although the cats and couple of others merged!

Sorry about the technicolor,
but that’s kind of my thing.

I did take the liberty of copying and going monochrome on a couple of cat shots just to see if I could see anything. It worked to an extent. I deleted them after as I don’t nick other peoples work. ~ George

What did Picasso mean when he said “good artists copy, great artists steal”? Did he really say this or did someone else say it? I’ve noticed plagiarism is not a thing in visual art. Anyone can repaint anyone else’s work, identically and sell it under their own name. To say nothing of incorporating someone else’s art in a new creation of one’s own. I learned this first on Fine Art America when I found so many artists were also copiests. Brazenly so. So taking someone’s work and doing something else with it must be taken as an homage. I think the original artist is rather meant to be flattered. (:

We stand on the shoulders of giants,
but some choose to pick their pockets.
One should always pay due credit.
I was weened by Mother Surrealism,
and then rebelled against Pop Art.
A realistic Neo-Classical brat, like a
still life basket of fruit. I find inspiration
in all good art. Picasso did say that
creation is destruction. Perhaps that is
the fate of all plagiarism.
Thanks Elisa for the insightful commenting

Great photos and great pun captions below the photos. 😀
I particularly enjoyed the caption “Crimson and Rover… In Clover”. 😀
I imagine he rolled “over and over”… in the clover. 🤣

Lot’s of wildlife around here

Fun Fact; There is a species of clover
in Europe called the crimson clover.
